Welcome to the world of beauty silk
Why sleep on a silk pillowcase?
Benu Blanc combines a silk fiber and exclusive beauty and well-being pillow mists based on silk proteins to meet a major challenge, to help the skin to fully regenerate at night:
- to promote its soothing to optimize its receptivity to active ingredients,
- to take advantage of sleep to fill it with benefits,
- to initiate its regeneration and allow it to regain, night after night, all of its youthful and beautiful qualities.
The first benefits of textile silk are based on the properties of the fiber: hydrophobic, it does not absorb water, yet our skin is composed of over 70% water. This is the first effect on hydration, morning wrinkles - the famous pillow wrinkle, or even more globally on the signs of aging that are aggravated by dehydration. Silk fiber is also hypoallergenic, antibacterial and anti-mite. These three properties reduce skin irritation, which is particularly important for sensitive or acne-prone skin.
Benu Blanc goes further thanks to the silk mists: they contain natural active ingredients that are diffused all night long. A cloud of mist on the Benu Blanc silk pillowcase, in the evening, before going to sleep also helps to find sleep and a deep relaxation. The next day, when you wake up, your skin is more beautiful and smoother, your hair is softer and shinier.
The 100% pure mulberry silk Benu Blanc pillowcase is woven and made in France. With a density of 25 mms, certified oeko-tex, it offers the soft and luxurious sensuality of dense matte silk to create a comfortable cocoon for the skin. The beauty and well-being pillow mists are 100% natural.

How to maintain the Benu White silk pillowcase?
The Benu White silk is machine washable at 30°c on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and a little softener. By creating this mat and resistant weaving, we wanted to make a product that fits in our lives in a simple way: your silk pillowcase is machine washable.
The silk is ironed on the reverse side, with steam and a silk setting (moderate temperature).
Well cared for, your silk pillowcase will last a lifetime. Discover in our blog article all the details of an optimal silk care.
Why is Benu Blanc silk woven in France different from all other silks?
We understand that some people are surprised by Benu White silk because they expect a classic silk, that is smooth, shiny and slippery, often from Asia.
Our pillowcases are 100% silk, so they have a little shiny and bright aspect,
but it has nothing to do with the shine of the other silk pillowcases on the market.
For us, it was essential to make our silk pillowcases in France, for the proximity and for the quality. This value was fundamental for us. In this context, we were able to meet our weaver partner with whom we share our desire to break away from the usual codes of silk. Aesthetically, satin and shiny silk did not appeal to us (tastes and colors...), especially since the silk pillowcase is, within the framework of our innovative concept, used more as a cosmetic care than as a bed or home linen. For us, it was therefore important that the silk pillowcase could be in harmony with the rest of the bedroom's decoration.
The Benu White silk fabric, certified Oeko-Tex, has a matte and non-slippery aspect, with a density of 25 mms for an effect and a softness of cotton touch.
To this choice, there are also technical reasons since this particular weaving allows a better grip of the silk neo-beads contained in the beauty and well-being pillow mists. When they settle on the fabric, a bio-affinity is created, like a molecular cocoon. Scientific tests
have shown that Benu White pillow mists, in contact with Benu White silk, diffuse the aromatherapy and aromachology properties of the mists for a longer period of time; compared to other natural pillow mists sprayed on other silk, cotton, microfiber or polyester satin.
The silk pillowcase by Benu Blanc is a beauty treatment
The skin needs to use the time of sleep to regenerate itself. Silk and the beauty and well-being pillow mists provide all the elements necessary for this regeneration thanks to the properties of silk (hydrophobic, anti-allergic, anti-bacterial and anti-mite), and to the aromatic actives contained in the pillow mists. The silk pillowcase is much more than a household linen, it is a beauty care.
For sensitive and allergic skins, Benu Blanc silk helps to calm the inflammatory ground of the epidermis thanks to its hypoallergenic, antibacterial and hydrophobic properties.
For acne-prone skin, silk is scientifically recognized for its antimicrobial, anti-oxidant (inflammation-related) and skin regenerating properties.
Silk activates the skin's multisensory sensors and boosts its regeneration
Benu Blanc was born from a major scientific observation: the skin is a multi-sensory organ, its sensors see, hear, smell, feel, taste.
The main idea of the Benu Blanc brand was to combine the two components of the silk cocoon - fibroin and sericin - to create a real molecular cocoon active on the skin throughout the night.
Our R&D programs focus on the benefits of silk for the skin and hair and its prodigious potential both in textile format and as a cosmetic active. Benu Blanc holds several patents for inventions using silk proteins in beauty and wellness applications. Benu Blanc has received several awards in the innovation and anti-aging categories, notably for the demonstrated effect on wrinkles and skin aging.
Benu Blanc ambition is to develop the French beauty silk industry. We have joined forces with other beautiful companies committed to the made in France, the exceptional know-how in silk, and the innovation in cosmetics. Benu Blanc is also a member of Cosmetic Valley, the competitiveness cluster of the perfume and cosmetics industry.
Satin, silk, or even mummies: need more details?
Reading a lot about silk bedding and pillowcases and want some vocabulary clarification? Here are some helpful definitions:
Satin: this term refers to a weaving technique. There are cotton, polyester, or silk sateen. Satin often gives a shiny look, but it is not a material. Sometimes you can find satin pillowcases: usually polyester satin (a chemical and synthetic compound) with a shiny, satin finish. Polyester satin pillowcases are very inexpensive but have none of the qualities of silk: they are neither hydrophobic, nor hypoallergenic, nor anti-mite. Only silk, a natural material, has these qualities and provides care for your skin and hair.
Silk: silk is a natural material, made from the cocoon thread of the mulberry tree bombyx, the silkworm. France has developed an exceptional know-how in silk weaving since the 14th century. Silk is hydrophobic, hypoallergenic, anti-mite and anti-bacterial. Discover here the benefits of the Benu White silk pillowcase for skin and hair.
Mummies: the mummy is a Japanese unit of measurement, dedicated to silk. It corresponds to the density of the silk fabric and gives you an indicator of its quality. A 25 momme silk, the one of Benu Blanc, has a density of 112 grams per m2, that is to say a little more than 25 mommes. That's why the Benu Blanc 25 count silk pillowcase is machine washable and resistant.
Silk pillowcase and bed linen
Even if the Benu White pillowcase is much more than a bed linen or household linen, it fits the standards of pillowcases and cushion covers: in square format 65x65 cm and in rectangular format 50x70 cm.
For the colors, discover the White of the Clouds (a very soft ivory white), the Blue of Dreams (a deep and intense blue), the Grey of the Night (a mysterious and elegant grey), and the Red of the Evening (a warm red).
High quality finishes for unique products
The little detail that makes your pillowcase absolutely unique? the zipper closure with a silver medallion featuring the phoenix of Benu Blanc, the bird symbol of rebirth and eternal youth.
This will avoid having a pillowcase that yawns on your bed. This beautiful garment is made in a workshop labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, in the Lyon region.
The silk and its color are certified oeko-tex, free of toxic substances.
5 tips to stop "wearing out" your hair
"The longer hair gets, the thinner, more worn out and broken the ends become, especially if it is fine and stressed by frequent blow-drying or straightening, or simply by contact with clothes when not tied up. This is why it sometimes seems as if they don't grow!
1) We definitely abandon shampoos containing sulfates, these washing agents too detergent.
2) We prefer hair scrunchies to elastics, which are less harsh on the fiber.
3) After shampooing, we press our hair in a towel instead of rubbing it.
4) We offer ourselves a silk pillowcase which weakens the lengths less than cotton.
5) Detangle hair starting with the ends, not the roots."
